Basic Electronics

Impedance, Z
Impedance is the overall opposition of a mixed alternating current circuit containing a resistor an inductor and or a capacitor. It is measured in ohms.

Example
Find the impedance across an inductor of 0.2 Henry when an alternating current voltage of 60 Hz is applied across it. If the voltage is given by V = 150 sin 120πx, calculate the RMS and peak values of the current.
